I am Chengli Wang. I am an assistant professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau. My research interests lie at the interface of experimental political science and comparative politics. My current research focuses on political communication in authoritarian regimes, especially political rumors (mis- and dis-information), information manipulation, and the digital divide.
I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, in May 2018, an M.A. in Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and a B.A. from Beijing Normal University of Public Administration. I taught at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics from August 2018 to July 2021.
My work has been published, or will soon appear, in Comparative Political Studies, International Journal of Press/Politics, International Affairs, Political Studies, and Journal of Chinese Political Science, among other peer-reviewed journals.
